80th Anniversary of D-Day Commemorated in Wool

Wool artist Paula Campbell has crafted a commemorative post box topper which has been installed on the post box at The Humbers.

The tribute has the flags of the Allied nations that took part in the invasion 80 years ago today.

Paula has also contributed to a huge knitted project which has been taken over to France for the D-Day events, akin to a knitted WWII Bayeux Tapestry.
