Newport’s biggest outdoor event tomorrow.
It’s Newport Carnival on Saturday featuring the hilariously entertaining Granny Turismo, along with a packed main stage of music and fun, fire performances and one of the biggest processions seen in years.
More than 60 stalls with food, drink, gifts, crafts and fun. The Carnival King and Queen will be crowned on stage at 11.30am.
Comperes, Angie Allday from Shropshire Live and Newport’s very own Panto Dame, James Prince will also be keeping you entertained and informed through the day.
The event opens at 10am. Procession leaves 12noon from Audley Avenue before proceeding along Avenue Road and into High Street and down Lower Bar.
This year there are brand new floats, plus some amazing vintage vehicles and some incredible custom motorbikes joining in.
