Ella hopes to hit the charts
Eleven year old schoolgirl Ella Jeavons, who attends The Charlton School in Wellington is hoping to enter the Music Charts with a song she wrote when she was 10 years old.
Already an accomplished pianist, Ella has been playing since the age of 6. The singing started really by mistake, when she sang ‘Naughty’ from Matilda at the age of 9 years old. She recorded it on her phone and asked her Grandad Steve what he thought.
The new song, ‘A Million Miles’ (Away from Home), was written in 2023 and was inspired by space travel. Ella completed all the lyrics and the backing track with the help of Grandad Steve Bagshaw.
The song was recorded at LCD Studios in Shrewsbury with the help of producer Hugh Davies, where she also recorded 7 other songs.
In April 2024 Ella won the ‘Shropshire Young Musician of the Year’ singing ‘Part of Your World’. As a result of winning the competition Ella was invited to sing at the Telford Balloon Festival singing in front of 1000 people .
On starting Senior School this year Ella auditioned for the part of ‘Annie’ for the 2025 school production and landed the role, with her rendition of ‘Tomorrow’
Ella lives at home with Mum and Dad, Amy and Matt and has 2 Brothers, Ethan and Elliott and a younger sister Emily.
The single, ‘A Million Miles‘, is due to launch on Amazon Music, Apple Music and Spotify as well as other Social media platforms on 2nd December.
