Telford College is transforming the Learning Resource Centre at its Wellington campus with the creation of a new £1.9 million library.
Work is now under way on a two-storey refurbishment, which is due to welcome its first students in the spring of 2026.

The contract that was run by Shropdoc is being handed over to Health Hero – formerly known as Medvivo – with a start date of Wednesday, October 1.

The Government announced earlier this month that Shropshire had secured a place in the first phase of a National Neighbourhood Health Implementation Program but Telford and Wrekin was not selected.

The Trust, which runs the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital (RSH) and Princess Royal Hospital (PRH) in Telford, has secured over £17 million of funding to provide more sustainable services.

Whilst the funding will bring significant cost and energy savings, staff at the Trust are also playing their part by making simple changes to make a difference.

This phase is set to be completed by September 2026 and will enable the school to permanently increase to 180 spaces from Year 7 over the next five years, accommodating a total of 300 additional pupils.

Villagers in Telford have been urged to use their local bus or lose it by a parish councillor who is passionate about public transport.

The report says the council has seen a 24 per cent reduction in anti-social behaviour in the last 12 months and its work continues.

SaTH says it has a “robust process ensuring that all pay remains in line with contractual guidance.”

“We feel that the simple ramp, hump and grind bar design proposed does not have enough character or challenges for users, as it is clear that children in the local area really enjoy skateboarding.”
