Festival fever in Telford

With just a few days to go until the Midlands’ biggest music festival, Telford Shopping Centre is helping revellers stock up on all the last minute camping essentials before V Festival.

Telford Shopping Centre has created a special camping display as a retail showcase for festival goers just in time for V Festival, which takes place at Weston Park from 16th to 19th August.

The V Festival display, located in Sherwood Square outside Debenhams, includes festival fashion from many retailers including Internacionale and House of Fraser, camping gear from Trespass, All Terrain and Argos and all the added extras from stores such as The Body Shop and Wilkinsons.  Dan, the Shopping Centre’s resident musician, will be around throughout the week to get shoppers into a festival mood.

Telford Shopping Centre has even created the ultimate checklist to make sure that festival goers have everything they need for the big weekend whatever their budget. Topping the list of festival must haves are: a tent, wellies, baby wipes, denim shorts and sun cream. The full checklist can be found at Telford Shopping Centre’s Facebook page.

Chris Jones, Centre Director at Telford Shopping Centre, said: “V Festival is one of the biggest regional events of the year and as we are located off junction 5 of the M54, just a 15 minute drive from Weston Park, we’re ideally situated for locals and visitors to stop off on route and stock up on camping essentials and clothes.

“At V Festival, style is almost as important as the music itself, especially this year with global style icon, Beyoncé, as the weekend headliner. As part of the display our retailers, including big brands like New Look, Zara and River Island, have helped us to highlight great festival fashion picks. What’s more, with a wide range of stores there’s something to fit all budgets from the glampers to the cost-cutting campers.”

Telford Shopping Centre’s festival essentials will be on display from Monday 12th to Friday 16th August to inspire style conscious festival goers and as a gentle reminder not to forget the baby wipes and dry shampoo!
