Southwater music venue delayed

Southwater music venue delayed

You may have noticed that in the old Four Corners restaurant near the Ice Rink, work has started, then stopped on Albert's Shed, a bar brand with two operations in Shrewsbury.

The main Shrewsbury bar is a beacon for live music in the town, with a full programme of bands and performances.

The company announced on their website that although the Southwater project has been delayed, it is still going ahead, and they are offering the chance to win a sneak preview.

Is this something Telford needs?

personally think Telford is crying out for something like it. I’ve only been to the Shrewsbury venue once but the setup is great for live music and I don’t believe Telford has anything like it. hopefully some good local bands will get the opportunity to play there

I sent them a message recently asking when it was due to open and had no response, like others say it is something the area needs as there are too many restaurants and nowhere to go after food other than for cocktails. Live music would be great.

Yes. We need to keep live music going. And it’s not just local bands that the venue puts on, so it gives you a chance to see up and coming acts from across the UK. A venue run by a massive fan of live music and not a brewery chain has got to be a plus.

100% Telford needs it! That and somewhere those of us over 35 can go and enjoy ourselves without feeling like geriatric!

Absolutely. A proper live music venue. My only concern is that is very close to the travel lodge!! May get complaints!!
