  • My poor dog will be beside herself again. These displays shouldn’t be held in the middle of housing estates. Nobody thinks about the animals or babies that they terrify

  • I live next to this field I have two dogs which are really scared of fireworks, so thanks for your none thoughtfulness of people that with pets that live here EVERY day that would of probably like a questionnaire if or not it should take place near their homes!!!

Omg for one night just take your pets off the estate then. Children and adults alike look forward to these community gatherings . I think people should stop being such kill joys and get into the community spirit its people like this who just like to moan and groan that spoil it or try to for everyone . Grow up snm

Well said people moan about things that happen on brookside this is a good thing we should be encouraging these sort of events, go out for the night with your precious pets if it’s such an issue it’s half an hour at most

  • I sympathise with pet owners worried about the stress caused by fireworks, I have three dogs who all differ in their response to them. However I prefer organised displays when there is a known start and finish time to the random use of often commercial type fireworks by untrained and unlicensed individuals.
