Telford and The Wrekin candidates say " Bring it on"

Liberal Democrat parliamentary candidates Thomas Janke (The Wrekin) and Shana Roberts (Telford) have issued a joint statement saying " bring it on" following the news of an general election to be held on Thursday 12th December.

Candidates Shana Roberts and Thomas Janke said:

“ We head to the polls on December 12th and the Liberal Democrats are ready to take our Stop Brexit message to the people of Telford and The Wrekin.

"The old two party politics has failed us here in Telford and The Wrekin, but with a Liberal Democrat government, we can build the broad, open, liberal movement that our country needs.

We will stop Brexit on day one and get on with the issues that matter to our communities: our hospitals, schools and jobs. We cannot wait to get out there – " bring it on!"

  • Diet Tory
    Please be quiet
No one will ever forgive you for back tracking on student fees and assisting the Tories in delivering austerity

  • Good luck. I’ll be fighting to deliver a democratic mandate that has yet to be delivered. I look forward to arguing that point with you over the next 5 weeks.

  • You are joking – in a constituency that voted overwhelmingly to “Leave”, you bring your promises to tell us all that we wasted our vote with your “party’s” commitment to overturning the result of the referendum!

  • Some clown posted this……..What about a choice for people who have changed their mind since the referendum? Is that not allowed in democracy?

If you get lost on your way somewhere do you change direction or continue on the wrong road because that’s what you decided to do 3 years ago- and stay lost ??……..Very good, stated up all night coming up with that analogy? Well here’s a poser for you….. If we’d of left as soon as was possible, you wouldn’t of had time to change your indecisive mind would you. I voted what I voted and hold the same viewpoint as back then because I know my own mind.

    • Alternative?
You mean like a Federal EU superstate with an unelected President? Yet another layer of government that sits a thousand odd miles away.

      Sounds fun to me… not..

  • Remainers on here with profiles littered with EU flags. Like an extreme obsession of some kind.

  • Glad I will be able to vote for an alternative not follow like blind sheep two main parties that are dividing our nation, not thinking about our economic situation, not investing in our youth and not developing our deprived areas. Three years ago we were coming out of a recession, now look at us. The only way forward is a good centralised vision of the future.
