Closing Down Sale signs at troubled retailer.
New Street in Wellington has Closing Down Sale signs looming large in the window of Bonmarchè, the bargain fashion retailer.
While the store escaped the axe in the pre-Christmas cull, the new signage suggests that the writing is on the wall.
It was hoped that Peacocks would buy up the remaining stores that didn't close before Christmas, but negotiations with landlords over rent commitments are said to continuing.
