Nice 2 metre, 2 metres, nice!

Nice 2 metre, 2 metres, nice!

Markings to help people understand the social distancing we should all be observing when taking exercise have appeared on one of Telfords main paths & cycleways.

Wayne Brookes spotted the painted sign while out walking today on the Silkin Way which runs the length of Telford, named after Lord Silkin, a prominent politician, and opened in 1977 by the then Prime Minister, James Callaghan.

These markings are on the Aqueduct stretch. Have you seen them anywhere else?

  • Yes,but there is still a lot of ignorant low life that just don’t move out their way, especially large families that take all the path over..I walk the dog on Silkin Way,I go at times when I think it will be quiet, because my filter dose not work very well & I don’t really want to get in an argument.Cyclist are the worse, they just creep upon you and hardly ever keep 2 metres away.Rant over!!!!

  • If you walk either side like that one of you is on the cycle path and are likely to get mowed down by ignorant speeding no bell owning cyclists .

  • The 2m rule wont make any difference to the transmission capabilities thanks to natural air movement, which will transport aerosols a far greater distance.

It wont work in modern commercial buildings neither…
